In China (Bootcamp)

After the applicants are ready for international expansion, our partner, Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute (JITRI), will sponsor them set off on a 2-4-week immersion bootcamp in Jiangsu, China. This practical program is to encourage companies that seriously seeking to land in China.

» Jiangsu Curriculum

  1. Interact with various partners in Jiangsu including companies, JITRI institutes, JEICs local government, and investors
  2. Develop a feasible China business plan that will realizing the goal of landing in Jiangsu

» JITRI will provide

  1. Facilities for the bootcamp, primarily office space, at the new JITRI HQ or in existing space in Suzhou
  2. Personnel in Jiangsu will source:
  • Jiangsu companies, partners, local governments, and advisors that will support development of a China business plan and realization of landing
  • Housing and Transportation
  1. Partnering conference to bring in various potential strategic partners at the beginning and end of the bootcamp
  2. Sponsorship development to bring in JEICs, local governments, tech parks, and other organizations to sponsor the costs of the companies

»  Program goal

The milestone-driven program requests the participating companies meet all required milestone, including

  1. China business plan
  2. Marketing study
  3. Customer validation
  4. Reasonable financial modeling of the business.

Companies who do not meet the milestones by the end of the bootcamp will be responsible for the full cost of the program.

4-WEEK

  1. Week 1 (Immersion + Milestone Goal)
  • Welcome event to bring together companies with JITRI institutes, partners, local governments
  • Culture, language history, business, and investment customs education
  • Weekend exploration days (organized and unorganized)
  • Development of Milestone Goal (light)
  • Continue normal business operations and activity
  1. Week 2 (Exploration, Partnership + Milestone Development)
  • Site visits throughout Jiangsu’s major cities and tech parks, meeting local government and companies
  • Visiting local accelerators and incubators
  • Identifying potential partner companies (pre-selected and screened)
  • Development of Milestone Goal (medium)
  • Continue normal business operations and activity
  1. Week 3 (Milestone Development + Completion)
  • Focus on Milestone Goal Development
  • Sector market report in China
  • Business plan for China
  • Pitch Deck
  • Financial modeling
  • Customer validation
  • Bring in an expert in the area from JITRI personnel and others to assist companies with their milestone development
  • Continue normal business operations and activity
  1. Week 4 (Finalizing Milestone and Partner presentations and evaluations)
  • Presenting final plans to JITRI, various potential partners identified in week 2 and have stayed in touch with
  • Continue normal business operations and activity
  • Sign MOU (a sample MOU will be provided to the company and partners before bootcamp so it can be readily signed)

2-WEEK

A shorter 2-week curriculum that will be much more intensive with a more compact schedule

  1. Week 1 (Immersion Education, Site Visits, and Milestone Development)
  • Welcome event to bring together companies with JITRI institutes, partners, local governments
  • Culture, language history, business, and investment customs education
  • Weekend exploration days (organized and unorganized)
  • Site visits throughout Jiangsu’s major cities and tech parks, meeting local government and companies
